Enameled Cast Iron Braiser

Our first-ever shape designed explicitly for braising, the Enameled Cast Iron Braiser is made from the same hand enameled cast iron as our Dutch Oven. This provides unmatched heat retention, keeping your braise, stew, or chili bubbling away as long as you need it to.
The Braiser features a wider surface area than a typical Dutch Oven, allowing you to sear cuts of meat in a single layer before adding your braising liquid. Gradually sloped sides help keep food fully submerged, while the Cloud Cover Lid holds in moisture and distributes it evenly to keep your stew or braise from drying out. Not limited to just braising, this versatile piece of cookware functions similarly to a skillet, making it an equally great choice for tasks like shallow-frying, baking, and sautéing.
